Blackberry Sage Lemonade Refresher

A refreshing homemade blackberry sage lemonade refresher made with fresh fruit, citrus, and herbs. Better than Starbucks, and perfect for summer days.

Ingredients
  

  • ¾ cup fresh or frozen blackberries
  • 2 –3 fresh sage leaves
  • ½ cup fresh lemon juice
  • 2 –3 tsp honey or maple syrup optional
  • ½ cup brewed green tea optional
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • Lemon slices or blackberries for garnish

Method
 

  1. In a small saucepan, muddle blackberries and sage with a splash of water. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  2. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve, pressing out juice. Discard solids.
  3. In a shaker or jar, combine blackberry-sage juice, lemon juice, water or tea, and honey. Shake with ice.
  4. Pour into a tall glass filled with fresh ice.

  6. Garnish with lemon, sage, and berries. Enjoy!

Notes

  • You can store the base (without ice) in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Add sparkling water for a fizzy version.
  • Use decaf tea or plain water for a caffeine-free option.
